The success of ASWB greatly depends on our volunteers. On behalf of the membership, we appreciate the work of our the volunteers who give their time and expertise to strengthen the mission of protection of the public through support and services for the social work regulatory community.
Committees and task forces, with the exception of the ASWB Nominating Committee and Board of Directors, are appointed by the ASWB President and approved by the ASWB Board of Directors. The term for most committees is one year, but to maintain a balance of experienced and new volunteers, some members may be reappointed to additional terms. Committee Interest Forms can be filled out online and submitted anytime. The president compiles a list of appointees and the list is subject to approval by the ASWB Board of Directors at their January meeting. Appointment notifications are sent in February. Anyone who serves on an ASWB member board or is staff to an ASWB member board is eligible for appointment.

Elected leadership nominations
Recommend yourself or someone else for an elected leadership position! Elections will be held at the Annual Meeting of the Delegate Assembly in November 2019.
